Dr. Tim Johnson, Dr. Kara Durick Johnson & Assoc. is your neighborhood eye doctor located at 12654 Riverdale Blvd. Your Coon Rapids eyecare center offers genuine eye care where your eye health and wellness is our primary focus. Annual eye exams are a recommended cornerstone for ensuring the health of your eyes. In addition to checking for changes in your vision and updating your prescription, we will also look at your overall eye health, internally and externally. Prevention and early detection are keys to maintaining healthy eyes, as some eye health issues have no immediate symptoms but can still cause damage if left untreated. That’s why regular check-ups are critical.
Dr. Johnson specializes in contact lens fitting, diagnosing and treating a variety of eye diseases, including corneal abrasions, eye infections, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.
Education: Dr. Johnson received his BA in biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in May 1994. He earned his doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in May 1999.

After optometry school she completed a one year residency at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA where she worked alongside glaucoma, cataract and retinal specialists. Dr Wiedemann specializes in prescribing glasses and contact lenses, performing diabetic eye exams, and diagnosing and treating ocular conditions. Dr Wiedemann has traveled to Mexico and Haiti to perform eye exams and provide eyewear to underserved populations. In her spare time Dr Wiedemann enjoys hiking and playing pickleball.
Education: Dr Wiedemann went to undergrad at University of Minnesota, Duluth where she majored in Biology and Chemistry. She graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 2006.

Dr. Erika Januschka is dedicated to providing personalized and comprehensive eye care solutions for a wide range of conditions. In addition to routine eye care, she routinely sees patients for diabetic eye exams, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, corneal abrasions and foreign bodies. Dr. Januschka also has a passion for providing care for underserved populations and has participated in Onesight clinics in China, Mexico and Montana.
Education: Dr. Januschka received her undergraduate degree from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Durick specializes in contact lens fitting, diagnosing and treating a variety of eye diseases, including corneal abrasions, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, and Glaucoma.
Education: Dr. Durick received her BA in Biology from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 1995. She received her doctor of optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999.

Dr Shannon Koenders grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. Following optometry school, she completed a residency program in pediatric optometry, vision therapy, and neurorehabilitation and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr Koenders serves as a Clinical Director for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program in Minnesota and has served on optometry missions in Mexico. Her special interests include working with kids and patients with intellectual disabilities, and she strives to provide quality eye care to every person she sees. Dr. Koenders and her husband live in Elk River and enjoy spending time with friends and family, biking, gardening, and playing with their dogs.
Education: Dr. Koenders received her BA in Biology at Luther College. She completed her Doctor of Optometry studies at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX.
